Sir John Dankworth – 1927-2010

Sir John Dankworth, considered to be one of the British Jazz greats along with his wife Dame Cleo Laine, died yesterday at the age of 82. I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge follower of his work, but the snippets I saw whenever they were on TV were a rare treat. I didn’t know until today that he was responsible for both the Avengers and Tomorrow’s World TV themes.
